I recently started collecting everything to do with Ta-Nehisi Coates because I think he’s one of the most important writers of our time. In doing so, I fell in love with his story of Wakanda – his presentation was breath-taking, and though some people have stated they don’t necessarily like his take on the country of Wakanda, It (the comic) played a pivotal role in the movie and has shaped comic’s regarding the fictional country.
Fast-forward to this video, and now we have another iteration of the world from Shuri’s point of view. Nnedi Okorafor, an Afro-futurist writer, is at the helm and the results are mad dope.
