This past Wednesday, I had the distinct privilege of being asked to speak on systemic racism both from a literary perspective and as a black man in Amerikkka. Fortunately for everyone involved, I most certainly wasn’t the star of the show. There were people from all over the world giving their informed thoughts and opinions, as well as their experiences. We didn’t stop talking for over 3 hours!
I was humbled beyond measure to be a part of so awesome a panel and I did my absolute best to lend the years of reading on this topic to the cause. I think I’ve gained some lifelong friends over at QR, and I’m so excited to continue to grow as a human being with them.
